Many police departments across the country are using drones to assist in situations where police may not be safe. For example, officers can send a drone into a scene where a person may be barricaded and scan to see if there are any others inside.

After great success in this type of situation, police departments are purchasing more than one drone. This comes in hopes of increasing done use to cover more instances such as searching for a missing person or suspect, gather high quality images and video of a scene, and locating hazardous leaks.
