TRENTON – New Jersey residents are a step closer to being able to own stun guns.

A federal judge has signed off on a consent order ending a legal challenge to New Jersey’s ban on stun guns and directing the state to create new regulations “consistent with public safety and the Second Amendment” within 180 days.
